impatica for PowerPoint

Easily deliver fully narrated and animated PowerPoint presentations to your WebCT course, website, or CD-ROM without plug-ins and at normal modem speeds. The UH system has a site license for the Impatica software.

 

Open Office

OpenOffice.org is a FREE open-source application. It is an office productivity suite which can read and save files in Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats.

 

Online Tutorials

HP Online Courses - excellent resource for free online self-paced tutorials. Topics include scanning basics, Photoshop basics, digital photography, and much more!

CNET Online Courses - another excellent resource for free online self-paced tutorials.

 

Adobe Photoshop Express is a FREE online photo editing tool.

 

PowerPoint icon PowerPoint

Templates

If you are tired of the Microsoft background template, you can add a new look to your PowerPoint presentations with new backgrounds. The EMC has purchased Digital Juice 2.0 with hundreds of backgrounds to use with PowerPoint. Come to the EMC's LEI Aloha Multimedia workstations .

Are you making a presentation and would like a few pictures of the Leeward Community College campus? If so, feel free to use these photos, taken by the EMC staff.

Enhances the functionality and usability of WebCT's quiz, survey, and self-test tools. Respondus can save hours on each assessment or survey project. The UH system has a site license for the Respondus software.

studymate

Enhances the functionality of WebCT by creating interactive Flash-based activities and games. StudyMate will import items from MS Word files and publisher test banks, making it easy to create interesting, interactive activities from existing content. The UH system has a site license for the StudyMate software.

 

Royalty Free Images

If you are having difficulty finding appropriate images for your flyers or handouts, checkout the royalty-free images available. Come to the EMC and use it on the LEI Aloha Multimedia workstations .

 

TurningPointTurningPoint

TurningPoint is a powerful took to make PowerPoint lecturers more interactive by using keypad technology. The keypad sets may be checked out from Intec Services in the EMC. The software may be freely downloaded and used with MS PowerPoint to create interactive quizzes, surveys, and team competitions.
