Dr. Patricia Neils teaches history at the University of Hawaii's Leeward Community College.  She previously taught history and international relations in London, Nairobi, Taipei, Western Samoa, and Palau. She earned her MA and PhD at the University of Hawaii. Among her publications is: China Images in the Life and Times of Henry Luce.
  For leisure activities she enjoys tennis, hiking, surfing small waves and horseback riding.   Pat's husband, Herb Neils, is a hunter and an outdoor writer. He also teaches tennis. His most recent publication is an adventure story titled: A Hunt for the Great Northern:Stoneydale Press, 523 Main St, Stevensville, MT 59870. (406) 777-2729   Pat & Herb live most of the year in Hawaii, but spend the summers in Montana. While there they invite guests to enjoy their 40 acre ranch which offers horseback riding, hiking, camping, flyfishing and tennis activities.
