Scaevola glabra,
or 'ohe naupaka, exemplifies the changes that can come about from hybridization and from isolation, both from the source of the original colonist and from the other environments in which plants are found. This Scaevola bears little resemblance to the Scaevola
found in coastal strand and other environments. It is found only on O'ahu and Kaua'i in wet forests. Photo by Lorin Gill
