Drosera angelica, or mikinalo, grows on hummocks in montane bog environments on Kaua'i where soils are clay-like but rich in humus. While most plants which grow in such remote areas are endemic, Drosera angelica is indigenous. Another special feature of this plant is that, like venus flytrap, it consumes insects.
