Opening and Closing the Mathematics Learning Resource Center



The Math Lab Manager is responsible for opening and closing the Mathematics Learning Resource Center. Student assistants who are scheduled to work the first or lasts shifts of the day are to assist in the opening or closing of the center. The Math Lab Manager will outline a procedure to those who will be assisting in opening the center. The following is a procedure to follow in closing the center.
1. Lock the doors.
MS-204 is used for entry and exit into the center. MS-210 is used only as an emergency exit.

2. Return items to its proper place.
Check if any calculators, text, solution manuals, or other items have not been returned. Please inform the Math Lab Manager if items are missing.

3. Tidy up the center.
The center should be kept clean at all times. Inform the Math Lab Manager about any unusual situations.

4. Return materials to its proper location and secure all cabinets.
Return all calculators, texts, solution manuals, and other items to their proper locations. Lock all cabinets.

5. Turn lights off and secure the room.
The last person in the center should turn off all lights and check that all doors are locked.
