Incidents of Cheating
Incidents of Cheating
Cheating on a quiz or examination is undesirable. If you suspect that someone in the center is cheating on a quiz or examination, inform the Math Lab Manager. Let this second person be a witness to the cheating before any action is taken. The Math Lab Manager will discuss this topic further with each student assistant.
To reduce the possiblity of cheating, keep an eye on anyone who is taking a quiz or examination. Watch out for the use of textbooks, notebooks, or other cheat sheets as aids to test taking. Report any unusual circumstances to the Math Lab Manager.
If time permits, walk by areas where students are taking tests. Make it obvious that you are supervising their test taking. If the student believes that the testing situation is well supervised, the tempatation to cheat may be greatly reduced.
