I dreamt the world was a better place

Two Turtles, One Love by Davelyn Reyes

Crash
The waves crash upon the rocks
The breeze of the islands wash away the pain
The sun shines on this bright day
As two turtles lay upon the sand
A heart forms around them

Golden spear of light
A thousand dust specks blazing
Cold morning’s first warmth

Home By Marie Ramos

My home lies within the 7,000+ islands of the Philippines — Luzon.
Mankayan, Benguet to be exact.
Although raised on the amazing island of O‘ahu for the past 15 years,
I’ve never once forgotten where I come from.
My mother’s land is my motherland,
and because of her I can say that we are mountain people —
Igorots.

Through The Broken By: Lono J. Willis

Live the life through that broken window
See what he sees
A mutter-silence of darkness
Veils “what used to be.”

Paint Fumes For Two By Jason Oliveros

Paths caught
In astronomical proportions
Of methodical contortions.
Dispersing endorphins,
Conversing over depth and density.
Building a connection of immense intensity.
Our obvious discrepancies
Only seem to feed a
Mystic chemistry,
As Krylon collisions breed
Artistic tendencies,
Giving me an influx
Of creative energy.
