Leeward Community College holds an annual "Family Fun & Craft Fair", where the entire LCC Ohana participates in a day of entertainment, education, craft sale and, of course, great food and other activities.

The 13th annual LCC fair was held on October 26, 2002, which was also my first exposure to the fair.  Students from my Biol 101 and Biol 171 class and I developed educational activities centered around the application of DNA technology including a paper DNA model, display of previously isolated alfalfa DNA, a poster presentation and DNA fingerprinting puzzles

Please review the poster and DNA forensic puzzles. I thank all students and organizers for making "excitement in education" and great success.

bulletPoster Presentation: Because of its size, your browser may display minute and unreadable fonts. Right click on the poster and select "Edit Slides" to view larger fonts.
bulletDNA Fingerprinting Puzzles: Although they are not true crime scene DNA fingerprints, they are definitely funny.

There has been a rumor that "Blue" is also female? If you know Blue's gender for sure, I would like to know about it.

bulletMore Fingerprinting Puzzles:

1. Nemo's fingerprint

2. Hospital mixup

3. Hawaiian Family

4. Cokecan

5. Love letter

6. Denge Fever
