Volunteer Information

Individuals interested in working with Wai'anae's homeless population should contact the listed number above for opportunities. Opportunities change often, so please call if you have the time to volunteer or can provide specific skills to help.

Maililand is one of the City and County of Honolulu's Homeless Service Organizations, and serves specifically the Ma'ili areas of Wai'anae on O'ahu's leeward coast. Maililand serves individuals primarily of Native Hawaiian decent, as Native Hawaiians make up the majority of homeless and non-homeless individuals in the Wai'anae area.

Maililand offers the following services to families with children:

  • Transitional housing
  • Educational Classes
  • Employment Counseling
  • Youth Counseling
  • Case Management

Maililand enjoys working with volunteers who are eager, open-minded, and not willing to work hard.
