Volunteers Needed

Individuals and University of Hawai'i students welcome to participate. Kua'ana Kokua Kaiaulu (community service) program makes it possible for students to fulfill community service requirements in various community activities that range from one day (6 hours) service at specific sites including:

  • Heiau

  • Loko I'a (fishponds)

  • Lo'i

  • Wahi Pana

Kua'ana Kokua Kaiaulu also needs volunteers to mentor and tutor in different activities on the University of Hawaii campus.  Please email or call for more information on current possibilities.

What is Kua'ana Native Hawaiian Student Development Services?

The Kua'ana Native Hawaiian Student Development Services creates firm foundations for Hawaiians to succeed in both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Kua'ana is committed to:

  • Increase the retention rates of Native Hawaiians at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa

  • Increase the enrollment of Native Hawaiians to higher education.

  • Support the scholarship of Native Hawaiians in higher education.

Kokua Kaiaulu Community Service program is an avenue through which UH students contribute their services to Hawaii ’s communities.
