Volunteers Needed

Volunteers with a variety of skills are welcome.  Volunteer activities include, but are not limited to: general office/clerical work, internet research, memo drafting, press releases, and reports.  The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement is open to provide opportunities in their office for anyone interested in what the Council does.  Computer experience is helpful but not necessary.  An interest to serve the Native Hawaiian community is preferred.

Additional Information

CNHA was organized in 2001 by a chartering Board of Directors, consisting of individuals involved in community development through several different Native Hawaiian agencies. The founding members believe that Native Hawaiian organizations – whether a large trust or agency, a homestead association or an entity focused on affordable housing or health – are all valuable elements of advancing the collective whole of our people. As a result, CNHA was created to deliver products and services to enhance the work of existing organizations, small and large, to assist them in meeting their individual goals of service to Native Hawaiians.

CNHA’s mission is to promote the advancement of Native Hawaiians through empowerment and informational initiatives.  CNHA’s mission is implemented through its various Programs and Services, which feature support services that promote collaboration, networking, information-sharing, capacity-building, and partnerships among organizations.
