Instructions

1. You will be able to access the course by logging in to the WebCT system.  The URL is http://webct.hawaii.edu.  You will need your UH Username and password to sign in to WebCT.  Your UH Username is the first part of your email address.  For example, my email address is fujitam@hawaii.edu so my UH Username is fujitam.  I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR USERNAME OR PASSWORD IS.  If you do not know your UH Username or password or if you do not have one, go to http://myuhportal.hawaii.edu to get it. 

2. Access Codes.
   The first time you login to WebCT, you will need to sue the access code that came with your textbook (if you purchased from the LCC bookstore). 
   
   You will also need an access code to do your homework in WileyPLUS (see the course outline for the current URL).  This is also included in with textbook if you purchased from the LCC bookstore. 
   
   If you do not have these access codes, you will have to purchase them.  Please see the memo that I sent out on the first week of class.

3. Many of the documents on the site are in Portable Document Format (PDF).  Therefore, you will need a reader to view them.  You may download a free copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader by clicking on the Get Acrobat Reader icon.

4. All of my email to you will through your hawaii.edu email.  In other words, you must have a hawaii.edu account and you must check it on a regular basis.  If you do not have a hawaii.edu account, go to http://muyhportal.hawaii.edu to get one.

5. Please be sure to read the course outline and course schedule.  We will cover one chapter a week.  I do not have scheduled office hours for this course but I am available by appointment, or you may contact me using Skype (mikefujita)  Skype is a free program that you can download from skype.com.  You will need a microphone and speaker to use the voice function or you can just use the chat function.  I am also available via email (fujitam@hawaii.edu).  My policy with email is to respond by the next school day (weekends and holidays are not school days).

6. Click here for instructions on how to proceed once you are ready to login to WebCT.

The best way to contact me is via email or Skype.  I will reply to most messages by the end of the next school day (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not school days).
