Da Vinci's Mona Lisa under siege by digicam crazed tourists, many of whom should consider joining Hair Club for Men. I was in the Musée du Louvre early in the tourist season--late May--but this massive museum was was filled with equally massive crowds of art starved tourists. Alas I'm only 5' 8" and the diminutive Mona Lisa was blocked by a forest of bald heads and flashing digicams. I fought my way through thick layers of cackling Chinese and ecstatic Americans. I couldn't take anymore elbowing or body scrapes and decided to make my stand: stood on tiptoe, held camera above head and nailed this comical image.

Mona Lisa is owned by the French government and hangs in the Louvre under bullet and UV proof glass and constant surveillance (dude on far right). They really should send Lisa back home to Italy.

The Mona Lisa is supposed to represent an ideal embodiment of eternal femininity. I figure those that preach that silliness are severely farsighted or cross-dressers. Lisa looks like a broad-shouldered man in drag and is not even close to the form and features of a beautiful woman.
