I took this image about an hour before sunset while standing on the beach. I was the only soul for miles, an unusual situation on this car infested rock 'o paradise. The solitude of this place is extremely endearing and recalls the Hawaii of days long since passed. As I edited this image in Photoshop, my mind slowly drifted into tropical nirvana, but was quickly jolted back to reality as sirens and helicopters raged outside my window. I live in a concrete jungle.
