As tourists scurred across the Aloha Tower pier, GIs roared at Hooters and Aloha shirt uniformed businessmen washed away sins at dockside bars, I searched for a moment of peace amongst pandemonium. Turning my glaze seaward, I found the lapping waves strangely reassuring. Great Scott, the kaleidoscope of dancing colors was the HECO power plant and palms reflected in balmy waters. I raised camera to eye and squeezed off a few before drifting into Nirvana.
