Canon EF70-200 4L IS USM Review

The 70 to 200mm range is ideal for portraits, landscape and outdoor sports, yet is still hand holdable. The EF 70-200 4L USM was my favorite telezoom for years: sharp, fast focusing and sturdy. The only thing missing was Image Stabilization (IS), a feature I came to appreciate on my normal zooms. By nature a telezoom is more difficult to hold steady than shorter lenses, thus IS in the EF 70-200 4L IS USM makes perfect sense...more

Mus 121D • Classic Guitar I

Tired of the same old chuck 'n jive, hum 'n strum guitar? Learn to play classic guitar! Classic guitar combines melody & accompaniment together into a musically complete solo. It's the most satisfying way to play guitar! We start at the beginning, so you'll learn music reading, technique and tuning before you start your first solos. When you finish this course you'll play solos at the level of Greensleeves or Malaguena. No prerequisites. Open to everyone! 2 credits. MWF 10:00-10:50 & 12:00-12:50. MWF Syllabus

Mus 121E • Pop/Folk Guitar I

If you want to play folk and pop tunes or learn to accompany yourself with guitar, this is your course. You'll study music reading, finger picking, bass lines, and strumming and arpeggio patterns for song accompaniment. Soon you'll be jammin' with your garage and praise band buds. No prerequisites. Open to plain folks. 2 credits. MWF 9:00-9:50. Course Outline

Mus 122D • Classic Guitar II

If you can read notes and play simple classic solos, this is the course for you. You'll study the 5th position (frets 5-8), improve your technique with slurs, scales, harmonics, ornaments and play tons of exquisite classical solo and ensemble music. Prerequisite: Mus 121D or instructor consent. 2 credits. TR 9:00-10:15. Course Syllabus
