Our Mission

The Leeward Community College Food Service Program's mission is to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence essential to prepare students for a wide range of successful employment opportunities in culinary career.  Our faculty is committed to providing a fusion of hands-on experience reflective of our community's diverse culinary heritage.

Curriculum

LCC’s culinary program focuses on preparing students to enter the culinary workforce. The program’s goal is to offer a coordinated curriculum that insures continuous learning and development of culinary skills required for employment.

  • Managers and Cooks in the Department of Education School Lunch program.

  • Sous chef at the Hawaii Prince Hotel.

  • Executive chef, baker, cooks and pantry workers at the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa.

  • Sous Chef and chefs at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The Leeward Community College Food Service program is a member of the Culinary Institute of the Pacific’s Coordinating Council.   The council’s membership includes representation from:
