Two ways to get started

If Leeward or another UH community college is your home campus…

Log in to MyUH
Click on the MyTools tab
Click on the SMARTHINKING icon (on the right side of the screen)
That’s it!

You can also use the second way to get started, but this one is easier.

If you’re taking a Leeward course but your home campus is UH-Manoa, UH-West Oahu, or UH-Hilo…

Log in below, at Sign in Here
Username is your complete UH email address (e.g., if your UH email address is someone@hawaii.edu your SMARTHINKING username is someone@hawaii.edu.)
Password is your last name and the last four digits of your student ID number. For example, if your last name is Fujikawa and your student ID number is 99993997, your password will be Fujikawa3997.
If you have a hyphenated last name, that was the name used to create your password.
If you have a compound last name without a hyphen, a hyphen was inserted.
After you have logged in for the first time, you can change the password to a password you can easily remember. (To do this, click on “About me” on the left side of the frame.)
