Electronics Technician
Description of duties:
Repair and maintenance of television studios as well as A.V.
equipment.
Provide traditional audiovisual and current
presentation technology support to faculty, staff and Olelo clients.
Install, maintain, modify and repair
video telecommunications and tv production equipment used by the EMC to
transport signals via the the Hawaii Interactive Television System (HITS),
the Institutional Network (I-NET), Olelo Television, and Polycom
videoconferencing systems.
Maintain and repair all EMC audiovisual
equipment. Create and implement a preventative maintenance program for all
circulation audiovisual equipment as well as Intec duplication equipment and
tv studio equipment.
Keep abreast of current technologies for
instructional presentation and delivery and provide consultation on
equipment selection for procurement.
Manage and create policies for the Intec area
for equipment check out for faculty and staff.
Provide training to faculty and staff in the use
of new technologies through workshops and one-on-one training.
