Intec Services Function:

The Instructional Technology (Intec) unit facilitates the use of instructional technology equipment for faculty, staff, and students (TV Production and Digital Media).

Objectives:  

  • To provide current and reliable services to the students, faculty and staff by implementing and providing for the use of current technologies. The support of new technologies are made in conjunction with the support of traditional  technologies such as, overhead projectors, VCRs, and TVs.

  • To strive with keeping up with changing formats of video presentations and request for transfers to newer formats. 
  • To provide training to the staff and faculty in the use of new technologies through workshops and one-on-one training.

  • DVD, Videotape, Audio Cassette Recording & Dubbing
  • Overhead, Slide Projector, VCR repair & maintenance
  • Video off-air recording
  • PA systems (large/small)
  • TVPRO & DMED equipment management
  • Statewide Teleconferencing (International - fee)
  • Technical training for faculty/staff/students
  • "Classroom on wheels" - 24 laptops in a cart you can roll into your classroom
  • Pick-up and deliver of tech equipment (upon the availability of staff)
  • Support and maintenance of Digital Media Lab for DMED and TV Pro students
  • Consultations and equipment recommendations
