Google@UH Calendar

Overview

With a Google@UH account, you have access to Google@UH Calendar which is the online calendar application that allows you to manage events, appointments, meetings, and also share your calendar with others. You can create multiple calendars (e.g. for small groups, for each class/section) that will be shown to you within a common interface.

Educational Uses

• (An alternative to Laulima's Schedule tool.) Create a class calendar to manage events for each of your classes and embed them into your Laulima course site.
• Send meeting requests to your collegues or students.

Transform Your Course Schedule Using Google@UH Calendar

Transform your current course schedule/calendar into a very useful, dynamic, online one that does so much more! In this hands-on session, you will use your Google@UH Calendar* to create a course calendar of events and due dates, share your calendar, and integrate it in your Laulima course site to share with your students. Throughout the session, you will pick up on tips and strategies to use in Google@UH Calendar, and discuss and explore other things you are interested in doing with your Google@UH Calendar.

*Note: You must have migrated your hawaii.edu account to a Google@UH account to have access to Google@UH Calendar.

There are two sessions for you to choose from:

1. Thursday, March 8 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in L-108A
   -OR-
2. Friday, March 9 from from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in L-108A

Please bring your laptop (if you have one) and course schedule(s).

It would be helpful if you have some experience using Google Calendar. It is strongly recommended that you check out our Calendar resources (below) to refresh your knowledge on the basics before coming to the session.
