Educational Technology Objectives:

• Assists faculty, lecturers and staff with developing instructional materials with an emphasis on using Instructional Design concepts.

• Provides quality technology training programs, including Faculty Boot Camp to improve student learning. Training takes the form of of traditional workshops, small group training, one-on-one mentoring, computer-aided instruction and online materials development.

• Oversees the training on the use of the multimedia "smart" classrooms.

• Provides Distance Education and web-enhanced (hybrid) course expertise and course support.

• Investigates, experiments, and introduces the use of new technologies into the teaching and learning experience.

• Consults with faculty and staff in areas needing technological expertise.

Educational Technology Developers are located in the "hub" of the EMC. Greg Walker with a specialization in Distance Education and Brent Hirata with a specialization in instructional design are available to assist with educational technology needs.
