Atomic Learning

 Overview

Our campus has partnered with Atomic Learning to provide access to a time-saving resource to address software training and support the moment it is needed. All faculty, staff and lecturers (not students) now have access to over 50,000 how-to tutorials on over 205 applications—all at your fingertips 24 hours a day from campus or home. Whether you already have a solid understanding of the technology available to you or are beginning to learn, Atomic Learning’s tutorials make certain the answers to your "How do I do that?" questions are just a click away.

 Educational Uses

  • Training on common software such as Word, PowerPoint®, Excel®, Adobe® Creative Suite, Skype™, SPSS®, twitter™, and Google™ Docs to help you learn how to use various software that you use or want to use in your class.
  • Technology workshops like "How to be an Effective Online Student" and "APA and MLA Research Paper Basics" to gain insight on various topics to help your students.

 

Self-Paced Learning

  1. Go to https://www.atomiclearning.com/highed/
  2. Login with your UH email address (including the @hawaii.edu part) and the temporary password that was emailed to you.
  3. In the "Browse Available Training & Projects" section, use the drop-down menus to choose what you are looking for then click on "Find Tutorials".

Getting Started Guide and Tutorial

If you need help, log into Atomic Learning (with your UH email including the @hawaii.edu and temporary password that was emailed to you), then on the left hand side of your screen (as shown below), you will see a "Guide to Getting Started with Atomic Learning" and a "Tutorial on How to use Atomic Learning".

Change Temporary Password

If this is your first time logging into Atomic Learning, it's advisable that you change your password. Go to http://www.atomiclearning.com, click on "My Profile & Settings" at the top-right corner, and update your password there.
