- Provide student support for learning at a distance.

- Provide instructional support for the design, development and implementation of new and existing distance courses and programs.
- Provide technical support for the design, development and implementation of instructional materials that integrate media, and developing technologies into distance courses.
- Assist departments, faculty and staff in their efforts to improve the effectiveness of distance instruction.
- Promote quality and innovation for teaching and learning at a distance through specialized training and coaching programs.
- Research, evaluate, purchase, and promote emerging technologies, resources, and information that support the enhancement of instruction and delivery of distance learning courses.
