Art 105-B Introduction to Ceramics: Handbuilding
Studio experience in ceramic hand-building including both lectures and projects using various building and glazing techniques. Supplies are purchased by the student.
Art 105-C Introduction to Ceramics: Wheel Throwing
Studio experience in ceramic wheel-throwing including both lecturers and projects using various throwing and glazing techniques. Supplies are purchased by the student.
Art 105B is recommended but not necessary.
Art 106 Introduction to Sculpture
Beginning sculpture course covering techniques, materials and concepts of form/space relations and 3-dimensional design through a variety of projects such as clay modeling, carving, construction, and metal casting. Supplies are purchased by the student.
Art 243 Intermediate Handbuilding
Sculptural and vessel concepts in clay using hand-building techniques, emphasizing the development of construction skills and an understanding of form, surface, and firing possibilities. Repeatable.
Pre-requisite Art 105B, equivalent experience or consent of Instructor.
Art 244 Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Vessel and sculptural concepts in clay using wheel-throwing techniques, emphasizing the deveopment of construction skills and an understanding of form, surface, and firing possibilities. Repeatable.
Prerequisite: Art 105C, equivalent experience or consent of Iinstructor.
