Stained glass in the Gothic era Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp, Belgium. Looks like a Christmas card! Most of the stained glass on the main level was installed in later eras as rich folk were entombed in ornately decorated chapels along the sides of the nave.
We visited this wayward church mainly because it houses Michelangelo's Madonna. It was no David and was small and overwhelming. As we stepped out on the street the heavens burst and we scurried like rats into cafes and bars.
