As I traveled around Italy I couldn't help but notice knockers were all the rage. Big ones, small ones and ones that go bump in the night. Italians love to bang on that darn thing. And their knobs are equally impressive. In America we prefer pressing its-bitsy little buttons. Perhaps a nice set of knobs 'n knockers are a status symbol? Or maybe another excuse to decorate the shack? Ah dunno but methinks they're great.
It's difficult to gauge the size of this knocker with only a picture. However this one is big. Humungous. Extra jumbo. A baby's head or cat could easily fit through the ring.
And, yes, Italians have the nicest knockers in all of Europe!
