Who cares about the Hunchback of Notre Dame when you can have a creepy peek at the Grim Reaper of Notre Dame? As I wandered along the outer edges of the nave, past many tombs, I noticed a dramatically lit rear view of a tomb reaper. The columns form a natural frame while the cross and stained glass add welcome fore and background counterpoint. It was dark, crowded and difficult to take pictures. I had ISO cranked and my lens wide open.

After my creepy time among the tombs, reapers and assorted dead bodies I escaped outside for fresh air and sunlight. Hordes of tourists pressed my flesh, gypsy women begged and pawed at me and I bolted for the metro.
