In junior high school my dream was to go to Haight Ashbury and enjoy free love, rock 'n roll and herb. I figured it was the Mecca of hippydom. Thirty-five years later I finally made it. It was a dad burn tourist trap: T-shirts, incense, new age jewelry, art farts and bumper stickers.
