A den of iniquity down Fremont Street way. Fremont Street, AKA Glitter Gulch, is the heart of "old" Las Vegas, the downtown gambling district. It's home to Binion's Horseshoe, Eldorado Club, Fremont Hotel and Casino, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, Golden Nugget and more. The California Hotel and Main Street Station are a block down the street. Walking in the Cal or Main Street is like stepping into old Hawaii, or maybe a rural Zippys. These casinos mainly attract folks from the neighbor islands and Oahu countryside. I rarely hear so much pidgin or see such odd clothing here in Honolulu, but it's the status quo at the Cal and Main Street. Also, the median age of Hawaii patrons must be around 85! Whatever, the beer is so good at Main Street Station's Triple7 microbrewery I always spend at least one day downtown. Summers they brew the most heavenly Hefeweizen, a traditional German unfiltered wheat beer.
