As tourists scurred across the pier, GIs roared at Hooters and Aloha shirt uniformed businessmen washed away sins at dockside bars, I found a momment of peace amongst pandemonium. Glancing seaward, I spied an old brass ship's propeller, pole and palm reflected in the warm waters near Aloha Tower.
