I shot this view of old Sol ablaze Oahu's Waianae Mountains from the stairway of my condo. Minus 1 stop exposure compensation was used in Av mode (F8 and be there) to render the mountains as a silhouette and prevent highlights from blowing out. The colors were at their peak a little later but not nearly as dramatic as this. I especially like the shaft of light beaming between cloud and mountain. The valley floor below is a concrete jungle of skyscrapers, freeways and warehouses!
