I shot this view of old Sol setting on the Waianae Mountains from the stairway of my condo. Minus 1 stop exposure compensation was used to render the mountains a silhouette and keep highlights from blowing out. I prefer the dark foreboding mood of this shot over the lighter renditions (-.5 & 0) I also shot. The colors were at their peak just as the sun dropped behind the ridge.
